About I graduated from Parsons' Design and Management program with a BBA in May ‘07 leaving me with an excellent handle on Illustrator, a business management degree, and knowledge of the croquis. Despite this wide educational array my most valuable training has come from my own entrepreneurial venture. In 2003 I began Tease Intimates (www.teaseintimates.com), a brand dedicated to providing cute and comfy lingerie for young women. For five years I managed Tease by designing, organizing production, sourcing, marketing and sales. Using grants from Fleet’s Entrepreneur Program and the Trickle-Up Women’s Business fund, I moved production from Manhattan to Canada, and then to India and China. Tease grew from a one product line (the High Rise Panty), to a full range of bras, panties, and sleepwear. I showed at the Fame Trade Show at the Javits Center, and have been recognized numerous times in Body Magazine, Teeze Magazine, the Tobe Report, and many other local papers and blogs. Tease products have been sold internationally, and I even had a Trunk show deal with Bloomingdales. In August ‘07 I produced the Tease Intimates fashion show with accompanying designers.
Unfortunately when you’re a small company one wrong order can really cause problems and that’s what happened to Tease Intimates. In the mean time I have been working on many freelance projects. I've recently been commissioned to create custom lingerie for a Teen Vogue spread, I have been designing and sourcing for dog apparel. Graphically I’ve designed websites, logos, and illustrations for various companies including Mailboxes Etc. Some of my favorite projects are producing photoshoots for small designers and new magazines. Recent Clients: Teen Vogue, Global Dog Designs, Pet Dreams, Mailboxes Etcetera . . . |
