About Me

I’ve always had a love of design and entrepreneurship, from designing and selling cameo chokers when I was 8 out of my sparkly caboodle to the “bell bottom boutique” at 13 (I would add fabric to my friend’s jeans turning them into bell bottoms, they would choose from a binder of fabric swatches & paid $15 a pair!). In my senior year of high school I started a lingerie line based on a panty concept that worked better with low rise jeans than standard underwear, thus my obsession with intimate apparel began.

I graduated from Parsons’ Design and Management program with a BBA in Design and Management, a degree focusing on the business aspects of design alongside creative design classes. I studied entrepreneurship, international business, fashion and graphic design.

During my senior year of high school I began Tease Intimates (www.teaseintimates.com), a lingerie brand dedicated to providing cute and comfy lingerie for young women. For five years I managed Tease by designing, organizing production, sourcing, marketing and sales. Using grants from Fleet’s Entrepreneur Program and the Trickle-Up Women’s Business fund, I moved production from Manhattan to Canada, and then to India and China. Tease grew from a one product line (the High Rise Panty), to a full range of bras, panties, and sleepwear. The line premiered at the Fame Trade Show at the Javits Center, and has been recognized numerous times in Body Magazine, Teeze Magazine, the Tobe Report, and other local papers and blogs. Tease products have been sold internationally, and I even had a deal with Bloomingdales. In August ‘07 I produced the Tease Intimates fashion show with accompanying designers. After producing 6 collections I have stopped designing for Tease Intimates. My entreprenuerial experience has given me so much more knowledge about design and how to get a product from creation to launch than any college education.
Currently I am a freelance designer for various companies involved with fashion and web marketing, styling photo-shoots and designing products. I teach fashion design at two NYC private schools. And I’m working on a new venture . . .in lingerie of course
