Product Design & Sourcing

Since 2003 I have developed working relationships with various cut and sew factories in New York , India, Vietnam, and China. I have sourced fabric, trim, padding, hardware, and cut/sew/pattern making/grading services both locally and overseas.

This experience and my Parsons design background have led me to create original lingerie for Teen Vogue and also tech packs, apparel designs, flat sketches, and illustrations for companies such as Global Dog Designs, Escante Costumes, Icy Hot Lingerie, and my own clothing line ventures.

My lingerie line, Tease Intimates, produced five collections, was sold internationally, and garnered interest from trade magazines, boutiques and even Bloomingdales.

My Pet Product Design experience began with Pet Dreams Inc., and I have worked directly with the company’s founder to create dog beds and dog toys. For selected projects I will be involved with design, technical pack, and coordinate samples and production with factories in China.

I’ve also worked with Global Dog Designs for many years designing dog apparel and accessories in the USA. I’m given a concept for each design, which I return with various illustrated options. The designs are edited until we have the perfect product. I then usually create a technical pack, source fabrics and trim, and coordinate fit, grading, and production with local cut/sew factories.

Sourcing & Production Services: - Search for labor-factories that meet your price range and minimum order quantity - Source correct materials/trim/hardware that fit within budget and quantities needed - Obtain project bids and samples to determine the best vendor/factory for your project - Develop tech packs, product illustrations, and first samples, - Communicate effectively with factories/vendors to develop your products/apparel from concept to finished product
